Mi köti össze a múltat a jelennel? Természetesen a szerelem. És a zene. De csak ha nagyon jó. Lili korunk tipikus lánya: magányos, és igyekszik bebeszélni magának, hogy így jó neki. De egyszer a szülei lakásában talál egy régi levélcsomagot, amit az anyja, úgy látszik, egyáltalán nem akart megmutatni neki. Ő persze nem sokat habozik, olvasni kezd, és megelevenedik előtte a múlt… …a kilencvenes évek elejének egy felejthetetlen nyara, amikor három jó barátnő a Balatonnál vakációzik, és közülük csak Eszter (Törőcsik Franciska) akar hűséges maradni az otthon hagyott, karót nyelt pasijához. De általában mérnöki pontossággal követett terveit kissé összekuszálja, hogy megismerkedik egy sráccal (Ember Márk), aki laza, vicces és van még egy nagyon jó tulajdonsága: egy zenekarban játszik, és esténként a szigligeti strandon lép fel a haverjaival.
